Bertelle Culclasure, 100, of Newberry, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Countrywood Nursing Home in Hopkins.

Born on September 20, 1912, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Louie L. And Cora Lee Rivers Culclasure. She was retired from Newberry County Memorial Hospital and was a member of Summer Memorial Lutheran Church.

She is survived by brothers, David (Helyn) Culclasure and Charles Culclasure; a sister, Mary Crews; a sister-in-law, Auguste Culclasure; nephews,Norman (Barbara) Culclasure, Richard Carver and Bobby Carver; nieces, Karen Addison, Deborah Thomas, Cynthia Culclasure and Diana Attaway and great-nieces, Kailey Addison and Amber Attawy. She was predeceased by a brother, Emory Culclasure and sisters, Inez Davis and Louise Carver.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 7, 2012, at Rosemont Cemetery by the Rev. Stephen Mims.

I was Bert's beautician back in the 70's. She was always pleasant with the sweetest smile and gentle ways. I send my sympathy to the family.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Please find comfort in the resurrection promise at John 5:28 that reads; "Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming when all that are in the graves shall hear his voice and come forth."

I was born and raised in the Mollohan Community and attended Summer Memorial. Always remember Ms. Bert being such a fine lady.My brother, Terry and I have the deepest sympathy for all the family.
