My sincere sympathy to Irene’s family and friends. She was my mentor when I entered the AF and set me on a path to my 24 year career of service as a nurse in the USAF. I will be forever grateful for her guidance and support.

Mom and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Irene. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family. May her soul be at peace with our Heavenly Father. We are honored to have known her and call her family. We are blessed to have such fond memories of her. I admired her greatly. She was more of an influence in my life than she ever realized. She was a major influence on my desire to become a Registered Nurse. We pray and ask the Lord to provide the family with the love and strength during your time of grief. Our most heartfelt condolences. Lisa Fowler & Thelma Jones

I wanted to reach out to you during this sad time to offer my condolences. While nothing will completely take away your grief, by meditating on God's promises found in the Bible, you can find real hope and the strength to keep going. I have found the scripture at Isaiah 25:8 to be especially comforting. Here it promises that God "will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."

Irene was an amazing lady to know and love. She accomplished much in her career and we were delighted when she retired and came home to Newberry. She was a very valuable citizen here--sometimes doing good things that she never mentioned. We mourn along with her family the death of this special lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. May God's love and peace be with you now and in the days to come. Harriett and John Rucker
