Dear Meredith and Suzanne and family,
Your family and mine have been friends for 42
years. I have always admired Bill for his kindness
and intelligence. He was particularly kind to my
5 year daughter, Pam, when he would take her to Woodard
Academy and she cried every morning.
He was the first to tell me I was pregnant with Karen
when I went to Dr.Pugh for the flu. We had such fun
every Friday night in each other’s homes with
our sharing group from church. That’s when Carolyn and
and I became best friends.
But through the years what stands out the most is
Bill’s love, compassion and constant attention as caregiver
for Carolyn. This was proof of his true character. What love he had for her!
Girls, I am sorry for your loss. May you be blessed
with many beautiful memories! God bless you and I love you

Sorry to hear of Bill's death. I was one of those growing up in Prosperity and spending time as a teenager at Prosperity Drug Store where Bill worked the refreshment counter. He was always a delight to have conversation with. Had just recently heard of his return to Prosperity.

To Bill's Family,
Bill was not only a distant relative but a very special friend. We were high school classmates and also at Newberry College together. I was so pleased when he relocated in Prosperity just a month ago. He was by the drug store late Friday afternoon and we had a wonderful visit which I shall always cherish. Sincere Sympathy, John V Pugh
