William Anthony “Tony” Dunaway, 57, of Newberry, died Monday, February 8, 2021.
Born on December 4, 1963, in Prosperity, he was the son of Carless Smith Dunaway and the late William Harold Dunaway. He was a mechanic.
He is survived in addition to his mother, Carless Dunaway by his son, Anthony Lee Dunaway of Newberry; a sister, Lisa Bouknight of Mauldin and a grandson, Anthony Jay Dunaway; nephews, Justin (Brittney) Bouknight and Nicholas (Hope) Bouknight. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Wally Bouknight and his grandparents, James and Hazel Smith and William H. and Pearl Dunaway.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, February 14, 2021, at the Newberry Church of God by the Rev. Jeff Timmerman. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30 – 3:30 pm Sunday at the church.
Due to COVID 19 everyone is reminded of social distancing requirements and masks are encouraged.
