
Ashley Dean Long, 60, of Irmo, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the home of his mother in Newberry.
Born on February 8, 1961, in Savannah, GA, he was the son of Bobbie Fuller Long and the late Young Derrieux Long. He was an assistant store manager for T.J. Maxx.
Dean is survived by his mother, Bobbie Long of Newberry; caregivers, Punk Beck and Dianne Bannister; aunts, uncles and a number of cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Glenn Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Camden Bagwell. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive family and friends at the cemetery following the committal service. Memorials may be made to Glenn Street Baptist Church, 300 Glenn Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
Active pallbearers will be Clay Beck, Ronny Bannister, Charlie Summer, Jeremy Davis, Tommy Brewington and Todd Dipner.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of T.J. Maxx.
Everyone is reminded of COVID 19 social distancing requirements and masks are encouraged.
