Debbie West Berley, 46, of Pomaria, passed away January 13, 2010, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on April 21, 1963 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late John B. “Bunny” West and Elizabeth Ann Goff Lipscomb. Mrs. Berley was employed with Kraft Food and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Debbie loved riding motorcycles, going to the beach and was a most devoted wife and mother. Her family was the most important part of her life.

Surviving are her husband, Jimmy Berley; a daughter, Jessica Berley of Chapin; a son, Brandon Berley of Little Mountain; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy (Bart) Merchant of Newberry and Johnette (Paul) Shealy of Fort Smith, AR; step-mother, Annette West of Newberry; step-brother, Ray Worthington of Prosperity; sister-in-law, Teresa (Steve) Smith of Little Mountain; father and mother-in-law, Edward and Mary Ellen Berley of Prosperity; five nieces, a nephew and two great-nieces and a very devoted friend, Donna Summer of Newberry.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2010, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church by the Rev. Marian Dyer. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Reese Building.
