Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of a wonderful person in Jim. For me, Jim was a great mentor, teammate and spiritual leader. He didn't use a lot of fancy vocabulary to influence folks. He simply lived a sermon everyday. He was a tremendous example during my teen and early adult years. When Annie Laurie came into my life, Jim and his crew made her feel welcomed and loved. She still compares all strawberries to Jim's.

Evelyn, Eddie and "Shorty", he is not gone. He is just getting everything ready up there. And the best of Jim lives in all of you.

I am so sad to hear this news. I don’t remember him not being a part of my life from church, the chicken farm and as a neighbor. There wasn’t a time I saw him that he didn’t stop to speak and have a chat. I will always remember his kindness to stop to get my Pop for church meetings and I bet the two are talking about gardening and Smyrna today.
I will miss him.
My prayers are going up for all of you.
Love y’all,
Cindy, Jessi and Sami Pitts
