A. P. Ramage, Jr.

A.P. Ramage, Jr., 93, of Newberry, widower of Ercel Little Ramage, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 22, 1915 in Saluda County, he was a son of the late Allison P. Ramage, Sr. and Carrie Connelly Ramage. He was retired from Kaywood Corporation and was a member of Bush River Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Donald P. Ramage of Helena, MT; daughters, Dolores R. Powell of San Diego, CA and Evlyn R. Guerin of Hillsborough, NC and ten grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Bush River Baptist Church by the Reverend Marion Ringer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bush River Baptist Church, 8935 Bush River Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
