Alyson Kinard

Alyson Paige Kinard, 55, of Newberry, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, at her home.

Born on May 2, 1970, in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Charles Ernest and Betty Jean Duncan Kinard. During her working career she was a waitress and had worked at Cracker Barrel and Hawg Heaven and also worked in education at Cornerstone Community Academy as a a special needs shadow.

Alyson is survived by a son, Michael Charles Krauss of Newberry; a brother, Kem (Rynn) Kinard of Newberry; nieces, Niki Fellers (Jose) Gonzalez of Newberry and Summer Bedenbaugh of Clinton; a nephew, Alan Kinard of Newberry; great-nephews, Isaac Gonzalez, Jordan Riley and Jesse Riley and the father of her son, Henry Krauss. She was predeceased by a sister, Tammy K. Bedenbaugh; a niece, Brooke Kinard and a cousin, Ted Williams.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Rosemont Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Traditions Hospice for their loving care that they gave to Alyson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Bouknight, Clifford White, Greg Evans, David Frady and the former students of Cornerstone Community Academy.
