Barbara A. Chapman

Barbara Ann Amick Chapman, 67, of Chapin, died Saturday, August 21, 2021 at her residence.

Born on December 22, 1953 in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Ansel O'Neil and Lillian Estelle Shealy Amick. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. She loved taking trips to the mountains. While there, she enjoyed shopping for antiques and playing put-put. She enjoyed spending time in her backyard reading her latest magazine. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she had a very special bond with her grandson, Jason.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Dale Chapman;a daughter, Jennifer (Joshua) Sutton of Chapin; a son, Kevin (Pamela) Chapman of Chapin; sisters, Evelyn Harmon of Prosperity and Betty (Henry) Hyler of Prosperity; a brother, Carroll (Betty) Amick of Prosperity; sisters-in-law, Marsha Amick of Lexington and Priscilla Amick of Ridgeway; 5 grandchildren, Justin (Paige) Amick, Jason Amick, Lindsay Chapman, Meredith Sharpe, and Wyatt Chapman; and a special family friend, Brian Amick. She was predeceased by brothers, Harvey O'Neal Amick, Donald Ray Amick, and James Edward Amick and by a sister, Dorris Garrett White.

A private service will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery.
