Barbara Jean Dominick

Barbara Jean Bartley Dominick, 82, of Newberry, died Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at her home.

Born on April 25, 1943, in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Amzie Samuel and Christine Jones Bartley. Mrs. Dominick worked for Knight Industry and was a member of Colony Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles William Dominick; a son, William Bartley “Bart” Dominick (Debbie) of Newberry; a daughter, Angela Derrick of Newberry; sisters, Shirley Dowling, Sissy Rodgers and Kay Shell of Ward, Louise Nichols of Saluda and Marie Metts of Batesburg; a brother, Jim Bartley of Ward; grandchildren, Ben Derrick (Sara), Hannah Derrick, Sarah Dominick, Drew Dominick, Rebekah Dominick and Harper Dominick; great-grandchildren, Cali Rai Derrick and Easton Derrick; a daughter-in-law, Temple Dominick of Irmo.

Mrs. Dominick was predeceased by a son, Anthony Charles “Tony” Dominick, sisters, Mary Ann Morris and Sarah Bartley and brothers, Alton Bartley and Jeff Bartley.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Colony Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. Jan Setzler. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Cromer, Brad Cromer, Danny Dowling, Daniel Bartley, Michael Bartley and Heath Nichols.
