Barbara Tobias

Barbara Ann Corder Tobias, 66, of Newberry, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at her residence.

Born on March 19, 1945, in Whitmire, she was a daughter of the late James B. and Hazel Lee Beck Corder.

Ms. Tobias is survived by a son, Ray (Brenda) Steele of Lexington; grandsons, Larry Ray Steele, Jr. and Curtis Anthony Steele; a brother, James L. (Joanne) Corder of Gaston and a sister, Linda (Steve) Kanning of Laurens. She was predeceased by a daughter Tonya Sittler.

A private viewing will be held by the family followed by cremation. The family will receive friends at the home.
