Bart Hazen

William Barton “Bart” Hazen, 40, of Prosperity, died Monday, November 7, 2016, at Palmetto Health Richland.

Born on January 10, 1976, in Iola, KS, he was a son of William Everett “Bill” Hazen, Jr. and Deborah Lycans Hazen. Mr. Hazen was a civil scaffold builder with Salisbury Industries at VC Summer Nuclear Plant in Jenkinsville, SC. He attended Crosspoint Church and was a Mason.

He is survived in addition to his parents by his wife, Jessica Mader Hazen; children, Katey Dawn (7), Levi Eugene (5) and Kiley Ellen Hazen (13 months); brothers, Chad (Theresa) Hazen and Sam (Jamie) Hazen; mother-in-law, Donna Mader; a number of nieces and nephews and other family members.

The family will receive friends at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home on Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Memorials may be made toward his children's education. Funeral services and burial will be in LeRoy, Kansas with services in Kansas to be entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Burlington.
