Belle Morris Shealy

Belle Burden Morris Shealy, 85, of Newberry, died Monday, May 20, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.

Born on January 9, 1939, in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late James Otha and Adelle Boggs Burden. She was a member of Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church where she served in many areas throughout the years.  She enjoyed playing tennis, once in three different leagues concurrently and she also played in several card groups.

Mrs. Shealy is survived by her husband, Andrew Shealy; daughters, Rynn (Kem) Kinard and Jill (Donnie) Shealy; grandchildren, Alan Kinard, Niki (Jose) Gonzalez, Stephanie (Mark Riebe) Shealy and Eric (Angelica) Shealy; great-grandchildren, Will Griffin, Isaac Gonzalez, Connor Shealy, and Kylie Shealy. She is also survived her step-daughter, Renee (Stan) Lindler and her daughter, Andrea (Ben) Stogner and  granddaughter, Mae as well as her in-laws, Billy (Edith) Morris and Nancy Morris.

Mrs. Shealy is also survived by siblings, Jean Spangler of Fair Oaks, CA, Margie Bishop, Ida Allison, and Jerry Burden all of Ninety Six, SC and Brenda Gilliland of Clinton, SC.

Mrs. Shealy was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Donald Morris, an infant son, a granddaughter, Brooke Kinard and three siblings.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home between the hours of 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Bob Tate and Pastor Jeff O'Dell officiating.

Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Nick Morris, Yancy Floyd, Keith Bishop, Jason Buckner, Larry Higginbotham and Chad Morris.
