Betty Fulmer Boland, 84, of Little Mountain, widow of Leonard Carl Boland, died Friday, March 6, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland.

Born on August 2, 1935 in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Virgil and Gertrude Frick Fulmer. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Holy Trinity Prayer Shawl Ministry and the Happy Mountaineers.

Mrs. Boland is survived by a son, Phillip Leonard (Michelle) Boland of Gilbert; daughters, Kathy Lynn Boland and Phyllis Diann Simmons both of Little Mountain, Carlene Boland (Marvin) Lindler and Charlene Boland (Jason) Derrick both of Chapin; a sister, Ola Mae (Harold) Fulmer of Prosperity; brothers, Jacob Fulmer of Prosperity and Richard (Lynne) Fulmer of Chapin; thirteen grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Boland was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Connie Derrick Boland and siblings, Nancy Shealy and James Fulmer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 9, 2020 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brett Collins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at the church. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 186, Little Mountain, SC 29075.

Active pallbearers will be Johnny Fulmer, Donnie Fulmer, Kenny Fulmer, Doug Fulmer, Mickey Fulmer and Jason Fulmer.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Riley, Danny Wessinger, Eddie Boland, Andy Boland, Sammy Dominick, Joe Dominick and Jason Riley.

The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers, Sandra Hawkins, Cathy Shealy, Carol Sanders and Alison Wicker, for their loving care.
