Brenda "Dean" Wheeler

Brenda “Dean” Geraldine Sligh Wheeler, 77, of Prosperity, widow of James Elton “Duck” Wheeler, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Prisma Health Richland.

Born on September 9, 1946, in Whitmire, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Gerald and Ethel Prince Sligh. She was a born again Christian and a devoted mother. Dean was a 1964 graduate of Whitmire High School and worked for Roberts Express for 20 years. She loved people, flowers and reading. Dean loved to travel and to always be on the go.

She is survived by a son, James Gerald Wheeler and a daughter, Lisa Wheeler. Dean was predeceased by a brother, Harold Sligh.
