Carolyn Hatchell

Carolyn Gladden Hatchell, 69, of Newberry, died Thursday, June 19, 2014. Born on June 26, 1944 in Winnsboro, she was a daughter of the late Jessie and Ruby Bennett Gladden.

Surviving is her son, William “Ricky” Hatchell Jr., of Clinton; daughters, Helen “Sissy” Hatchell and Carol Hatchell McMurtury both of Newberry; brother, Walt Gladden of West Columbia; sisters Mary Jackson of Pelion, Rose Moore of Lexington, and Jessie Mae Thompson of Irmo. She was a loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 9 great grand children. She was predeceased by her sons, Paul Evans Hatchell and David Clifton Hatchell.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday, June 22, 2014, at 1:00 pm at Whitmire Cemetery by the Rev. Todd Johnson. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 - 8:00pm at McSwain Funeral Home.
