Carroll Wayne Amick, 61, of Chapin, died Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Born on March 4, 1961, in Prosperity, he was a son of the late John Wesley and Martha Robina Sease Amick. He worked for Georgia-Pacific for many years and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Carroll was a true outdoors man. He enjoyed taking rides on his ATV and working in his garden. He loved sharing vegetables and eggs from his chickens with family and friends.
He is survived by sisters, Lucy Jackson, Darlene Eargle, Patsy Paul, and Linda Stoudemire (Zane); brothers, Johnny Amick and Danny Amick; nephews, Michael Jackson (Allison), Wesley Jackson (Stephanie), Patrick Amick, and Tyler Stoudemire (Savannah); nieces, Becky Livingston(Josh), Mindy Amick (Craig Spear), Anna Teseniar (Ace Johnson), and Brittany Stoudemire(Meagan); great-nephews, Joshua Jackson, Nicholas Spear, Landon Teseniar, and Wade Stoudemire; great-nieces, Lyndsay and Haylee Jackson, Hannah Jackson, Carolyne Livingston, Macy Paul, Lacy Paul, Skylar Teseniar, and Bailey Teseniar.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 1, 2023 in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery by the Rev. David Tholstrup. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. The family also asks that those in attendance dress casually. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Cemetery Fund, 900 Dreher Island Road, Chapin, SC 29036. The family will be at the home of Carroll's sister Darlene Eargle.
