Catherine Morris

Mary Catherine “Cathy” Hawkins Morris, 59, of Newberry, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at her residence.

Born on December 20, 1950, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Ernest “Bill” and Catherine Connelly Hawkins. Mrs. Morris was retired from Whitten Center and the Newberry County Disability and Special Needs. She was a member of Summer Memorial Lutheran Church.

Surviving is her husband, Donny Morris; a son, Benjamin N. Morris and his wife, Nikki, of Newberry; sister, Susan Rikard of Newberry; brother, Ernie Hawkins of Asheville, NC and grandchildren, Gavin Morris and Autumn Lindler.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. John Wertz. Memorials may be made to the Newberry County Disability and Special Needs Board, PO Box 856, Newberry, SC 29108.
