Charles Nicholas “Chuck” Lathrop, 63, of Newberry, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at his home.

Born on April 21, 1962, in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of Woodrow Lathrop and the late Nancy Ellen Cook Lathrop. Chuck was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Diane Ward Lathrop; sons, C.J. Lathrop and Michael Lewis Ward; a daughter, Ashley Ward; a sister, Vicki (Jack) Hamm; step-sisters, Donna Ann Richardson and Alice Lathrop.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Freedom Baptist Church by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe.
