Charles Robert Landis

Charles Robert Landis, 77, of Prosperity, passed away at his residence.

Born on October 8, 1945, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Charles Rubie Landis, Jr. and Dorothy Lucreatia Rusk Landis. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland and was a general contractor.

Mr. Landis is survived by his son, Robert Wade Landis of Moravia, NY; daughters, Christy L. (Garrett) Butch of Alpharetta, GA and Mary Anne (Kevin) Ivey of Gilbert; sisters, Darlene Ball of Greensboro, NC and Joyce Tripplett of Salisbury, NC; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel from 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm.
