Charlie Beaman Summer, Jr., 72, of Newberry, widower of Donna Mack Summer, died Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at his home.
Born on June 15, 1953, in Newberry, he was the son of the late Charlie Beaman Summer, Sr. and Mary Elise Fuller Summer. Charlie had worked for Champion International and was the owner of Summer’s Taxidermy. He was a member of St. Philip’s Lutheran Church. Charlie cherished the opportunity that he had to provide guidance as a father figure to many over the years.
He is survived by sons, Charlie B. “Trey” Summer III (Lori Mills) and Jamie Mack Summer both of Newberry; a sister, Dianne (Ronnie) Bannister of Newberry; an aunt, Lavenia “Punk” Beck of Newberry and a granddaughter, Emmie Elise Summer.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Bernardo Hospice for their loving care given to Charlie during his illness.
