Christa Hewit Lovejoy

Christa Hewit Lovejoy, 70, wife of James B. Lovejoy, passed away on Monday, June 27,2022 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Lovejoy was born to the late Norton and Bertha Hewit on December 3, 1951, in Mobile, Alabama. She worked at ArtiChill where she acted as both bookkeeper and Human Resources Director until her retirement, after which she had plenty of time to spend with her feline friends that she affectionately called her “Muffins”.

Mrs. Lovejoy is survived by her husband, James B. Lovejoy, daughters, Sherri Lozada of Newberry and Tabatha Cantrell of Simpsonville, brother, Daniel Hewit of Baha, Mexico, grandchildren, James and Brandon Byers, Alexander and Savannah Lozada, and Christa, Logan and Jordan Marthers, and great-grandchildren, Elliot Cayton Lozada and Valerie Lozada.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday July 2,2022 at Rosemont Cemetery by the Reverend Jimmy Counts, and a visitation will be held at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
