Peter Christian Olsen, Jr.

Peter Christian Olsen, Jr., 57, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at his residence.

Born on August 21, 1952, in Newberry, he was a son of Rachel Caldwell Wise and the late Peter Christian Olsen, Sr. Mr. Olsen was a mechanical engineer and an Air Force veteran. He was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church and the VFW.

Surviving in addition to mother, Rachel Wise of Prosperity is his wife, Carol Ann Stanford Olsen; a son, Peter Christian Olsen III of Prosperity; a sister, Johnette W. Shaffer of Prosperity. He was predeceased by a brother, Lester Wise.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Randall Derrick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.
