Christine S. Senn

Christine Smith Senn, 91, of Prosperity, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Christine was born on December 30, 1932 in Saluda County, South Carolina to the late Lindsay Drayton and Daisy Bedenbaugh Smith.  She was a 1951 graduate of Bush River High School and retired as a Public Accountant.
Christine was an active member of Macedonia Lutheran Church where she served on several committees as well as prepared meals, and enjoyed fellowship with the Goldies.  At her home she enjoyed tending to her flowers, cooking for family gatherings and sitting on the front porch at the lake watching the boats.

She is survived by her sons, Stan Senn (Diane), Ken Senn (Cathy); grandchildren, Bryan Senn (Susanne), Elizabeth Jackson (Josh), Lindsay Canniff-Kuhn (Jesse) and Zachary Senn and great-grandchildren, Witten Canniff-Kuhn, Landry Canniff-Kuhn and Tyler Senn.

Christine was predeceased by her siblings, Curtis Smith, Hoyt Smith, Cleo Smith Shatterly and Boyd Smith.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Macedonia Lutheran Church from 10:00 – 10:45 am.  Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with services being conducted by the Rev. Terry Hundley. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Bryan Senn, Zach Senn, Josh Jackson, Jesse Canniff-Kuhn and Bobby Shealy.
