Cindy Mills

Cindy Richardson Mills, 76, of Newberry, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

Born on May 19, 1947, in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late William Job Richardson and Mary Tompkins Palmer. Cindy was a 1965 graduate of Newberry High.  She was always proud of being a part of the high school cheer-leading squad. 

Cindy retired from Little Mountain Elementary School and was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Henry Edward “Eddie” Mills; sons, Mark (Angela) Mills of Chapin, Brad (Tammy) Mills of Prosperity and Chris (Charlene Robinson) Mills of West Columbia; a brother, Barry (Peggy) Richardson of Newberry; step-mother, Gaynell Richardson of Newberry; four granddaughters and four great-grandsons.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 12, 2023, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Stanley Sprouse.  Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, or online.
