David C. Hill

David Calhoun Hill, 73, of Whitmire, died Sunday, December 2, 2012, at his residence.

Born on October 19, 1939, in Little Mountain, he was a son of the late Arthur and Mary Wyse Hill. He was a veteran of the SC Army National Guard and was retired after 40 years from American Fiber and Finishing.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce McCullough Hill; a son, Johnathan David Hill of Whitmire; a daughter, Renee McDermott of Whitmire; sisters, Spruce Sundeen of CA and Peggy Counts of Little Mountain; brothers, James Hill of Newberry, Albert Hill of Little Mountain and Wyse Hill of Pomaria; a grandson, Benjamin McDermott.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Tri-County, 13795 C.R. Koon Highway, Newberry, SC 29108 or the American Cancer Society, 303 W. Alexander Aveneu, Suite 1, Greenwood, SC 29646.
