David Crowder

David Paul Crowder, 77, of Little Mountain, died at his home.

Born on February 6, 1946, in Laurens, he was a son of the late Lonnie Stoudemire, Sr. and Ruby Pulley Stoudemire.  Mr. Crowder served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was retired from the Water Works Department of the City of Columbia.

He is survived by a brother, Lonnie (Ruth) Stoudemire, Jr. of Pomaria; nieces, Marsha (Scott) Meetze of Newberry and Amy (Shane) Kitchen of Peak; great-nephews, Ethan Meetze, Benjamin Meetze, Wallace Kitchen and Davy Kitchen.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church by the Rev. Linda Anderson. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall.
