David Michael Kitchens

David Michael Kitchens also known as Kitch and Little Michael, 35, of Whitmire passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at his home.

Michael was born on May 4, 1988, in Greenwood.  He was the only child of James Michael “Mike” and Sara Frick Kitchens.  He is survived in addition to his parents, by his paternal grandmother, Margaret Kitchens; aunts and uncles, Larry Kitchens and Randy (Cecelia) Kitchens, Rachel (David) Best, Eddie (Christina) Frick and Rock (Jan) Overstreet; great-aunts and uncles, Josephine McKenna, Janie Speight, Brenda Blalock, Eunice Raines, Thomas Kitchens; cousins, Cliff (Jennifer) Gunter, Bill Gunter, Robbie Overstreet, Matthew Overstreet, Travis Overstreet, Nicole Davis, Brooke Boyes, Blake Moye, Lance (Ada) Kitchens, Courtney (Kevin) Doty and Tori Kitchens; second cousins, Emma Kitchens, Heidi Kitchens, Haegan Doty, Hazel Doty, Everleigh Doty, Haylee Douglas, Addison Patterson and Braydon Patterson.

Michael was predeceased by paternal grandfather, Oliver Kitchens, maternal grandparents, Ralph and Bettie Frick, great-paternal grandmother, Jessie Kitchens, great-maternal grandmother, Nellie McLane, aunt, Nancy Gunter and uncle, David Frick.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Pineridge Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Pineridge Baptist Church by the Pastor Kenny Weaver and Pastor Mark Stevenson. Burial will follow in Whitmire Cemetery.
