David Lake

David Alan Lake, 55, of Prosperity, died Thursday, August 17, 2017, at his residence.

Born on May 1, 1962, in Newberry, he was a son of John David and Bertha Farr Lake. He was a former truck driver for A&L Logging and a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Mr. Lake is survived by his parents, John and Bertha Lake of Prosperity; his wife, Lauren Kaminer Lake; a daughter, Bridgett (Mike) Lyles of Newberry; a step-son, Justin Langford of Batesburg; a sister, Denise (Dave) Sedon of Florida; a brother, Neal (Shirley) Lake of Prosperity; two grandchildren and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Jeff O'dell. Everyone is asked to dress casual for the service. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The family would like to thank everyone who so lovingly helped David during his illness.
