Denise Franklin Reid, 57, of Newberry, passed away on Friday, November 7. 2025, at National Health Care in Clinton.

Born on November 17, 1967, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Dennis Alvin and Cynthia Duncan Franklin. She had obtained degrees in office systems technology, surgical technology and had been a cosmetologist. Her greatest pleasure was being a homemaker. Denise was a member of First Baptist Church of Newberry.

She is survived by her husband, William R. “Reggie” Reid; a son, Ligon Todd Sutton of Newberry; a daughter, Callie Madison Reid of Simpsonville; step-daughter, Amanda Nicole Reid of Florida; sisters, Heather (Richard) Banks of Saluda, English (Gaston) Shealy of Concord, NC and Brooke Franklin of Lexington; grandchildren, Kyleigh Kate Young, Bryleigh Jade Young, Xander Lee Sutton and Jenson Ray Sutton.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 15, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Newberry by the Rev. Dr. Albert Allen.

The family will receive friends following the service.
