Dovie Wise Adams

Dovie Ruth Wise Adams, 86, of Prosperity, died Saturday, November 19, 2022, at White Oak Manor.

Born on July 10, 1936, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Angus Clyde Wise and Thompsia Hamm Wise Martin.  Mrs. Adams was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church and ran a day care in her home.

Mrs. Adams was a loving, caring and devoted daughter, wife, mother and Nanny.

She is survived by daughters, Judy (Allen) Litz and Ruth (Rudy) Boozer both of Prosperity and Joyce (Leon) Hutto of Lexington; grandchildren, Corey (Kayla) Bishop, Lori (Neal) Smith, Leon (Jessica) Hutto III, Joshua ( Kristina) Hutto and Nicole Boozer and great-grandchildren, Skylar Bishop, Remy Kate Bishop, McKayla (Tanner) McAteer, Cadence Smith, Bryson Hutto, Carlee Hutto, J.T. Hutto, Kalin Hutto, Cassy Hutto, Tray Hutto and Alexander Bone.  She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Troy R. Adams,  her siblings, James L. Wise, Doris J. Wise, J. Jacob “Jake” Wise, Richard O. Wise and Mary C. Wise and a grandson, Levi Bishop.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 Monday, November 21, 2022, at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Hundley.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be Corey Bishop, Joshua Hutto, Leon Hutto, Brian Shaffer, Bryson Hutto, Gary Seibert, Nicole Boozer and in memorial, Levi Bishop.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Minnie Crumpton and the staff of White Oak Manor for their loving care to Dovie.
