Eddie Norris

Eddie W. Norris, 69, of Laurens, died Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at his residence.

Born on August 14, 1954 in Prosperity, he was the son of the late J.C. and Betty Jean Dominick Norris. He was a United States Army veteran and was stationed at Ft. Bragg. He earned an Associate degree in Criminal Justice in 1981.He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. Eddie worked at Shakespeare in Newberry then later served as a manager at Bi-Lo in downtown Greenville for many years. Eddie took great pride in his work. He was detail oriented and service driven. He loved and cared about his co-workers and his customers. He loved to travel, and he especially enjoyed going on cruises. He was an excellent cake baker and had a real talent for working with flowers.

He is survived by his sister, Cathy Norris of Laurens.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Zion United Methodist Church, by the Rev. R.T. Bowling. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
