Edward Griffin

Edward Richardson Griffin, 81, of Pomaria, widower of Jonelle Wilson Griffin, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Ascension Hospice.

Born on August 24, 1927 in Pomaria, he was a son of the late Oral Thomas and Gladys Richardson Griffin. He was a Marine veteran, a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and was retired from Kendall Company, Oakland Plant.

Surviving are sons, Stanley (Kim) Griffin and Tommy (Janice) Griffin of Pomaria; a daughter, June (Mike) Ruff of Pomaria; a brother, Bright Griffin of Pomaria; grandchildren, Sondra (Rob) Bowers, Marcie (Brian) Blanchard, Kim (Bill) Hester and Jed (Kristin) Ruff; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Callie, Gracen, Griff, Stanton, Josie and Jon Michael. Mr. Griffin was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Berley and brothers, Harry Griffin, Bill Griffin, Phillip Griffin, Armour Griffin and Kenneth Griffin

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church by the Rev. Kathy Harris and Rev. Steve Jackson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
