Edward Murphy

Edward James Murphy, 81, of Newberry, widower of Florence Haydock Murphy, died Monday, July 29, 2019 at his residence.

Born on April 26, 1938 in Bangor, ME, he was a son of the late James and Merita Astle Murphy. He was a United States Air Force veteran and retired from Wal-Mart as a sales associate supervisor of sporting goods. Mr. Murphy loved bass fishing and was a member of the Saluda River Bass Masters.

He is survived by sons, James Allen Murphy and Kenneth Bryan Murphy; a daughter, Susan Marie Murphy; a sister, Linda Murphy; a brother, Gary Murphy; grandchildren, Joshua Murphy, Jacob Murphy, Brittany Murphy, Thomas Murphy, Rebecca Murphy and Karsen Murphy; and two great-grandchildren, Cassie & Bella.

Mr. Murphy was cremated.
