Elaine Bostic

Margaret Elaine Stevenson Bostic, 78, of Chapin, widow of Edward “Eddie” Lamar Bostic, died Saturday, April 6, 2019 at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on October 10, 1940 in Fairfield County, she was a daughter of the late Lucious David and Margaret Ellen Boulware Stevenson. Elaine was also predeceased by her son, Edward Lamar Bostic, Jr. Elaine was a graduate of Monticello High School. She was an avid USC fan and sports in general. The greatest joy for Elaine was being “Nanny Elaine” to her granddaughter, LynnLea Grace and just to make people smile.

Elaine is survived by her son, David Lynn (Jamie) Bostic of Chapin; a brother, Lucious David “Red” (Jane) Stevenson of Carlisle; a sister, Frances S. (John) Taylor of Carlisle and her granddaughter, LynnLea Grace Bostic.

Visitation will be held from 10:45 am – 11:45 am Tuesday, April 9, 2019, with the funeral service to follow at 12 Noon at Whitmire First Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Shannon Long. Burial will follow in Whitmire Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Whitmire First Baptist Church, 302 Glenn Street, Whitmire, SC 29178 or MSA Hospice, 2228 Harrington Street, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Cheatham, John McCarley, Homer Wicker, Michael "Andy" Bostic, Craig Wicker and Tripp Ledford.
