Elbert William Avery, 80, of Newberry, died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born on December 19, 1933, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Charlie Estes and Vera Bouknight Avery.
Mr. Avery is survived by a sister, Doris Avery Johnson of Newberry and a brother, Charles Avery of Newberry. He was predeceased by brothers, Donnie Avery and James Avery.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Pinelawn Memory Gardens by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. Memorials may be made to Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, 1105 First Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
