Ella Rae Bouknight Eargle, 78, of Pomaria, widow of Roger Waldo Eargle, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Brookdale Brushy Creek Senior Living in Greer.

Born on July 23, 1947, in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Jacob and Gerlie Derrick Bouknight. Ella Rae worked as a LPN at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital and in the office at Louis Rich. She had also been a supply Post Master at the Pomaria Post Office.

She was a member of Pomaria Lutheran Church. Her interest included gardening, canning and working with all sorts of craft ideas.

Ella Rae is survived by a daughter, Kim Eargle of Spartanburg; a sister-in-law, Marcia Bouknight; niece, Alica (Ben) Dukes; nephew, Travis (Laura) Bouknight and great-nephews and great-nieces.

She was predeceased by brothers, Randy Bouknight and Wayne Bouknight.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Pomaria Cemetery by the Rev. Michele Fisher. Memorials may be made to Brookdale Senior Living, 2010 Brushy Creek Road, Greer, SC 29650.
