Martha Estelle Shealy Boland, 89, of Little Mountain, widow of Thomas Simpson Boland, died Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at her residence.
Born on December 30, 1932 in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Coker and Arie Amick Shealy. She was a graduate of Macedonia and Prosperity School, and later retired from Damon International after 28 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and the W.E.L.C.A. She loved growing flowers and vegetables in her gardens.
She is survived by sons, Thomas Wayne Boland (Debra) and Ronald Paul Boland both of Little Mountain; a grandson, Tommy Kenneth Boland (Tanya), a brother, Clifton Shealy; and a favorite nephew, Edward Nobles. She was predeceased by siblings, Mildred Nobles, Dewey Shealy, Edgar Shealy, Cleo Holly and Eva Boland.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 7, 2022 in the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery by the Rev. Rich Johnston. The service will also be broadcast on 87.9FM for those that would like to remain in their cars. The family will receive friends following the service and ask that those attending to please be mindful of the COVID-19 guidelines.
