Esther Chapman

Clara Esther Counts Chapman, 84, of Little Mountain, widow of William Douglas Chapman, died Monday, January 25, 2021 at Still Hopes Episcopal Retirement Center.

Born on January 12, 1937, in Little Mountain, she was the daughter of the late William Forrest and Clara Mae Long Counts. She worked for Midlands National Bank and retired from Carolina First Bank. Mrs. Chapman was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church.

She is survived by daughters, Cynthia E. (Mark) Gosnell and Vicki C. (Joshua) Bowers both of Prosperity; a brother, Voight (Peggy) Counts of Little Mountain and grandchildren, Christopher D. Epting, Jessica L. Gosnell and Aynsly Bowers.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery by the Rev. Rich Johnston. Those attending are asked to remain in their cars and listen by way of radio on 87.9 FM. Following the service the family will greet friends by driving by the graveside. Memorials may be made to Mt.
