Esther Lindler Frick, 101, of Chapin, widow of Jonas Earl Frick, Sr., died May 8, 2021 at her home.
Born on March 9, 1920 in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Pearson and Catherine Cannon Lindler. Mrs. Frick worked for General Electric for many years and later retired from the Lowman Home. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where she was a member and Past President of the W.E.L.C.A and the Prime Timers. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed traveling. She loved basketball and played when she was in high school. She loved life, and was grateful for her family and many friends.
She is survived by sons, Jonas Earl Frick, Jr. and wife, Jennie of Florence, Kenneth Frick of Chapin, Phil Frick and wife, Cynthia of Newberry, and Kelvin Frick and wife, Jean of Chapin; a brother Herbert J. Lindler and wife, Catheryn of Chapin; grandchildren, Jennifer Ruppert, Julie Wade, Allen Frick, Pam Frick, Keith Frick, Christie Frick, Angela Piontek, Bonnie Frick, Casey Frick, Brent Frick, and Luke Frick; 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was predeceased by brothers, Louie Van Lindler, Clyde Lindler, and Loy Lindler; sisters, Mabrie Metts, Drucilla Boland, Naomie Counts, and Annie Ruth Frick; and a daughter-in-law, Vivian Frick.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at St. Peter Lutheran Church by the Rev. David Tholstrup. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. . The family will receive friends following the service. Those attending are asked to follow the Covid-19 guidelines. Friends may come by the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until 6:00PM to pay their respects and to sign the guest register.
