Ettie Adams Killian, 89, of Prosperity, widow of Junis Boyd “J.B.” Killian, entered into the eternal kingdom Sunday, March 8, 2020 at her residence.

Born on November 25, 1930 in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Gladys Stockman Adams. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church where she was a past president of the United Methodist Women and a member of the Koinonia Circle. Mrs. Killian retired from the Whitten Center in Clinton and was a den mother with the Boy Scouts of America.

She loved her family, her church, her community, and the Lord Jesus Christ. She will be remembered for her outgoing spirit, her sweet smile, and her distinctive laugh.

Mrs. Killian is survived by a son, Larry Boyd Killian of Prosperity; sisters, Betty A. Seibert of Prosperity, Shirby A. Chapman of Little Mountain, and Reba A. (Douglas) Warren of Prosperity; sisters-in-law, Dovie Adams and Peggy Killian both of Prosperity and Barbara Killian of Lexington; granddaughter, Cara (Brent) Earnest of Moody, Alabama and great grandchildren, Addison and Ava Earnest. Mrs. Killian was predeceased by a brother, Troy Adams.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Counts and the Rev. R.T. Bowling, III. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Zion United Methodist Church Family Life Center. Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 80 Zion Circle, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be nephews, Gary Seibert, James Seibert, Daniel Seibert, Louie Chapman, Allen Chapman, Kelvin Chapman and Doug Warren, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be the women of the Koinonia Circle.

The family would like to extend special thanks to everyone for their love and support.
