Fay Cannon Dominick, 89, of Prosperity, widow of Clarence “Boots’ Dominick, died Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Springfield Place after a long and courageous life.

Born on September 1, 1920, in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late David and Emma Cannon. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church where she was a member of WELCA. She did volunteer work for the Newberry County Memorial Hospital, the Lowman Home and delivered Meals on Wheels. She was a loving mother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her four sons, Larry Dominick, Wayne (Beverly) Dominick, Bobby (Alice) Dominick and Melvin (Sherry) Dominick; eight grandchildren, Deneen Lorentz, Joey Dominick, Will Dominick, NiCole Prosser, Brent Dominick, Cody Dominick, Austen Prosser and Cody Prosser; six great-grandchildren, Elliott and Lucas Dominick, Gates and Jaxton Prosser, Kirsti Lorentz and Tyler Kesler and a sister, Sarah Amick

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2009, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by the Rev. John Stoudemayer and Rev. Wyman Dowd. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Little Mountain Rescue Squad, PO Box 8, Little Mountain, SC 29075 or to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 816 Mt. Tabor Road, Little Mountain, SC 29075.
