Finley J. Garvin

Finley Joel Garvin, 81, of Newberry, widower of Patsy Wise Garvin, died Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on January 25, 1944, in Bath, SC, he was a son of the late Francis and Lois Smith Garvin.

He is survived by sons, Jason Garvin of Prosperity and Brad Garvin of Louisville, KY; a brother, Francis Garvin of Greenwood; grandchildren, Dylan Garvin, Madison Garvin, Liam Garvin and Beckett Garvin and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Garvin was predeceased by a daughter, Adriane G. Smith.

A private family memorial service will be held later.
