Forrest Senn

Frank Forrest Senn, 94, of Newberry, widower of Mary Alice Gruber Senn, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on December 24, 1919, in Silverstreet, he was a son of the late Walter Wallace and Lucy Mae Lake Senn. He was an Air Force veteran where was an airplane mechanic. During his military service he served in the battles of New Guinea and Papua. He received two battle stars, World War II Victory Ribbon, Unit Citation and a Good Conduct Ribbon. Mr. Senn retired from Torrington Company, was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by brothers, Larry Senn, Walter Senn and Alan Senn, Sr.. He was predeceased by a daughter, Melanie Zueger, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 31, 2014, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church by Rev. Mark Horne and Rev. Scott Hill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Smyrna Presbyterian, 32 Smyrna Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
