Frank E. Bartley

Frank Ervin Bartley, 88, of Newberry, died Saturday, June 11, 2022, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on September 12, 1933, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Robert Benjamin and Rosa Senn Bartley. He was retired from Kendall Company – Oakland Plant. Mr. Bartley was a member of Glenn Street Baptist Church where he was a deacon, member of the Men's Sunday School Class, former choir member and treasurer.  He loved to garden, going to the lake and the beach, and fishing.

Mr. Bartley is survived by his wife of 64 years, Doris Rodgers Bartley; sons, Keith (Dee Dee) Bartley and Jeffrey (Pam) Bartley of Prosperity; grandchildren, Ashton (Jody) Davis, Erica (Chris) Harmon and Austin Bartley and great-grandchildren, Jordyn Davis, Joyner Davis and Madison Harmon. He was predeceased by sisters, Mary Merchant and Sara Sepulvado and brothers, Ed Bartley, Charles Bartley and Heyward Bartley.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Glenn Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Camden Bagwell. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Glenn Street Baptist Church, 300 Glenn Street, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pall bearers will be Robert Bartley, Tee bartley, Austin Bartley, Bart Merchant, Chris Harmon, and Jody Davis.
