Frank McKay

Alexander Frank McKay went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2022.  Born on June 28, 1941, in Henryetta, Oklahoma to the late Alexander and Della Beryl Elizabeth Miller McKay.  Frank was a retired engineer with U.S. Steel and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Prosperity.  Frank was a loving husband for over 56 years and devoted father.  Both he and his wife were dedicated foster parents, receiving recognition for their 25 years of service by the Governor of Michigan in 1992 and Foster Parents of the Year Award in 2000.

Frank is survived by his wife, Dorothy Elizabeth Pelke McKay; sons, Scott McKay (Jean), Andrew McKay (Amy), Nathan McKay and Colin McKay; daughters, Kimberly West (Ed) and Harrieshia McKay and eleven grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Jean McKay and sisters, Pat Reardon and Sue Cowan.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Prosperity by the Rev. Henry Funkhouser. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 3:30 pm Sunday at the church. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Prosperity, PO Box 362, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be his grandsons.
