Franklin Edward Sease

Franklin Edward “Frankie” Sease, 42, of Newberry died Sunday, June 18, 2023 at his residence surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Columbia on September 1, 1980, he was the son of Thomas Edward Sease, Jr. and Audrey Ellisor Sease of Newberry. Frankie was a 1998 graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and attended Midlands Technical College. He was a plant mechanic at the V.C. Summer Nuclear Station where he was well-loved. Prior to working at V.C. Summer, he was previously employed with Vulcan Materials Company, RSC Rental Equipment, Inc., and the Guy M. Beaty Co., Inc.

Frankie loved spending time with his many friends and family. He always seemed to have a project he was working on and enjoyed sharing his talents to help his friends. Frankie was an avid hunter and fisherman and member of the Newberry Dove Club. A lifelong member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church, he served as a church councilman and member of the Security & Technology Committee. More than anything, though, Frankie loved spending time with his girls and being involved in their activities.

In addition to his parents, Frankie is survived by his wife, Brandi Clark Sease and daughters, Addison Elizabeth Sease and Avery Katherine Sease of the home; his sister, Julie Sease Dennis (John) of Newberry; his mother-in-law, Karen Derrick (Paul) of Prosperity; his father-in-law, Danny Clark of Newberry; brother-in-law, Neal Clark (Chelsea) of Pelzer; nieces and nephews, Luke Dennis, Mark Thomas Dennis, Jaydyn Clark, Kinley Prince, and Savannah Clark; and special friends, Clara Sue Waites, Randall Waites, and Keith Waites.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at St. Philip's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Amick and Rev. Jeff O'Dell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 2461 St. Philip's Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108 or Carolina BioOncology Institute, 9801 Kincey Avenue #145, Huntersville, NC 28078.

Active pallbearers will be Benji Harmon, Nick Waites, Jeremy Harris, Justin Dickert, Ben Baird, Tim Stuck, Jamie Dailey, and John Ringer.

Honorary pallbearers will be the V.C. Summer Mechanical Maintenance Department.

The family wishes to thank the following for the skilled and compassionate care shown to Frankie and his family during his illness: Dr. Steven Minter and the clinicians and staff of South Carolina Oncology Associates; Dr. John Powderly, II and Sherene Banawan of the Carolina BioOncology Institute; and Nica Dowd and Dee Davenport of MSA Hospice.
