Fred E. Frick

Fred Emmett Frick, 80, of Newberry, died Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital.

Born on June 18, 1940, in Newberry, he was the son of the late Jacob Floyd and Myrtle Mae Bechman Frick. He was a Army veteran and a member of Summer Memorial Lutheran Church. Mr. Frick worked for the Newberry City Police, the Newberry Sheriff's Office and retired from Kendall Company, Oakland Plant and also Newberry College Security. He was a lifetime member of the Amity Lodge # 87 AFM.

Mr. Frick is survived by his wife, Dottie Cook Frick; daughters, Linsay (Shawn) Carnes and Leslie (Jacob) Andrews both of Newberry and Anna Siler of Lexington; grandchildren, Trace LaCons, Laney Carnes, Rae Andrews and Alex Kerley. He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Monday, June 21, 2021, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jeff O'Dell and Sheriff Lee Foster. Burial with military honors and masonic rites will be held at Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home where they will receive friends.
