George Stoudemire

George Marion Stoudemire of Little Mountain, South Carolina, died November 28, 2024. He was born September 25, 1927, to the late Ollie T. and Eva Shealy Stoudemire. He was married to the late Dorothy Ann Greenwood Stoudemire.

George was employed at Fort Jackson and by Chevrolet dealers in Newberry. He was a volunteer fireman for over 50 years and the last Charter Member of the Little Mountain Volunteer Fire Department. George was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

George, “Pop” is survived by his children, Mickey Stoudemire and Jerry Stoudemire; grandchildren, Doug (Kim) Stoudemire, Anne (Robbie) Dunton, Michael (Stacy) Stoudemire, Jr., and Mary Ann (Justen) Gray; great-grandchildren, Taylor (Kailey Purvis) Dunton, Aindrea (Philippe) Hochadel, Bryce Rish, Noah Gray, Kyla Gray, George Stoudemire, III, Cole Stoudemire, and Cannon Gray; and a great-great-grandchild, Marleigh Jade Dunton.

He was predeceased by his wife, his parents, and his sisters, Drucie S. Counts and Rose S. Towles.
